Medical Disclaimer
Last updated: 2025. Please read this carefully before engaging our services.
MedEscort China is a medical concierge service. We are not a hospital, clinic, doctor or insurer. We do not provide medical advice, do not diagnose, do not prescribe and do not treat. Every medical decision is between you and a licensed hospital and physician.
1. We are not a medical provider
MedEscort China is an independent service company. Our role is to help international patients navigate the Chinese healthcare system: arranging appointments, providing medical interpreters, accompanying patients, coordinating logistics and translating documents. We are not a licensed medical institution, and we do not employ treating physicians.
2. We do not give medical advice
Nothing on this website, in our marketing materials, in our conversations, in our written summaries or in our online consultation arrangements constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or a recommendation to undergo (or to avoid) any specific procedure. Where we share general information about conditions, hospitals or procedures, it is for orientation only and is not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified physician who has examined you.
3. We do not guarantee outcomes
Medical treatment carries inherent risks. Outcomes depend on your specific condition, your treating hospital, the individual physician, your adherence to medical advice, your body's response and many other factors outside anyone's control. We do not promise, and no honest medical concierge can promise, that a procedure will succeed, that you will be cured, that recovery will follow a particular timeline, or that complications will not occur.
Any patient story on our website reflects one individual's experience and is shared with that patient's written consent. Your experience may be different.
4. Treatment decisions are yours
The decision to undergo any examination, procedure, surgery, medication or course of treatment is yours alone, made in consultation with a licensed physician who has reviewed your case. We will gladly help you ask better questions and understand the answers, but we will not make the decision for you.
5. Hospitals and physicians are independent
All clinical care is provided by licensed hospitals and physicians who are independent of MedEscort China. They are responsible for their own diagnoses, treatments, recommendations and outcomes. While we coordinate with them and may recommend specific providers based on our experience, the choice of hospital and doctor is always yours, and the responsibility for clinical care rests with them.
6. Online consultations
An online consultation arranged through us is a real consultation between you and a licensed Chinese specialist. The specialist's opinion is their own and is based on the information you (and we, at your request) provide. We provide the interpreter and the logistics; we do not edit or endorse the specialist's medical opinion.
7. Emergencies
We are not an emergency service. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately or go to the nearest emergency department. Once you are stable, contact us and we will help you re-coordinate any ongoing plans.
8. No doctor-patient relationship with MedEscort China
Using our services does not create a doctor-patient relationship between you and MedEscort China. The only doctor-patient relationship that exists is between you and the licensed physician(s) treating you at the hospital you choose.
9. Questions
If anything on our website or in our conversations has ever sounded like a promise of a medical outcome, please tell us — we will correct it. You can reach us at legal@example.com.
